Morinville occurs as thriving community of astir 7000 humans located in Alberta, 15 minutes northward of Edmonton on highway number Ii. Morinville was settled by Father Morin world health organization brought numbers of French settlers in the late 1800's, followed by numbers of German pioneers hence its many French & German families like Riopel, Boissonnault, Tailleur,Labonte, StLaurent, Maisonneuve, Bokenfohr, Krauskopf,Rustemier, Meyers.A monument in the St. Jean Baptiste Park lists a numerous list of pioneers & settlers to Morinville. It used to be that located on a street at 100 Avenue & 100 Street, the monument wwhen moved to its present location around 2000, as it was a safety hazard & super hard to enjoy by using all the traffic at the intersection. A Roman Catholic church of the St. Jean Baptiste Parish built inside 1907 wwhen declared a historical places within 1975 also as the convent to the west of the church. Within 2005 the evidence of a church underwent extensive landscaping by owning the removal of 36 super big dapper trees that were a danger to the church & home & the constuction of a clock tower, fresh grass,trees & bush. A clock tower was built inside celebration of Alberta's 100th. day of remembrance as a province.
